香川県まんのう町を拠点に活動する現代ジュエリー作家。
「装身具とはノスタルジアである」
それは人類の進化の過程で失われてしまった遠い記憶や感覚を呼び起こすための存在である。
石、骨、木、アンティークパーツなど多様な素材を用いながら、触覚的かつ象徴的な造形を通して、過去と現在をつなぐジュエリーを制作する。
Shota Mino (b. Kagawa, Japan) is a contemporary jewelry artist based in Mannō, Kagawa. Since 2012, he has explored the idea that personal adornment is a form of nostalgia—an object that evokes distant memories and sensations lost through human evolution. Working with a wide range of materials including stone, bone, wood, and antique components, Mino creates jewelry that connects past and present through tactile and symbolic forms.
